DIY Heart String

Even I can cut out hearts. Which is exactly what I was doing this morning when I was journaling. I have been doing a art journal to mix my morning reading time up, and I am really enjoying it.

I cut out a heart of this super pretty floral paper I have, and then I just kept cutting them out, and came up with this super easy breezy heart garland. I'm telling you, you could even make it with your eyes closed.

First find the paper you want- I've been collecting scraps
since I was a kid, so I have boxes full. You can also make
copies with a copier of wrapping paper!

*Then start cutting the hearts out-I did all different
sizes as you can see.

*Figure out where you want the hearts placed on your yarn-
figuring out spacing beforehand like I did is important--see above.

 *You will also need:
scissors
hot glue gun
yarn or twine

*I simply added the hot glue straight down the middle
of the back of the heart.

*I quickly turned the heart over so I could see what I was
doing and just attached it. You don't want the glue to get
hard before it's attached, so work quickly!

 And viola!

I'm not much of a DIY blogger, but it's fun to do once in a while. The basic things I craft
are pretty simple compared to what's out there, but hopefully some of you will enjoy making
this for yourself or with your kids!

Also, Morgan from Mama Loves Papa and I
will be starting a series on marriage, all through FEB.
It starts on Wednesday of this week, so stay tuned!
We'd love for you to write some posts too!
