From The Weekend
Hi everyone, I hope you had a great weekend! We didn't do too much, just eased a bit back into somethings around the house and did some walking. We also watched a few movies, and spent time together as a family.
Nells is busy at rehab, and is getting a little stronger each day! Pretty soon, if he keeps being so eager, we will have to kennel him for 3 weeks, because he can't be slippin and slidin on our hardwood floors; that is the worst for his spinal cord I guess. So the more anxious he gets to try to move, then we have to kennel him, which makes me sad, but I know it's good for him.
Here Nells is showing an interest in his bunny! He hasn't shown interest in toys for over a month, it was so exciting to see; he can't hold it with his left arm yet, but that's OK!
My husband was playing around with the app Hipstimatic this weekend, so he tried a few photos out on me. Does anyone know why it says MAY 82? LOL
We went on a picnic this weekend, the three of us, it was really really great. We went to a town called River Falls, WI. Here, take a look for yourself.
It felt SO good to laugh!
We also, like I said, went on a couple of walks, here are a few snap shots I got from those:
I love trees with all my might! I got A's in Biology when we studied them!
And then yesterday, we went for another walk. I've mentioned before that I am from St.Paul, and up until 5 years ago, I lived there most of my life. But we moved to a smaller town of about 20,000 just 20 miles south of the city. It truly is a great little town, and the thing I like about it, is that it feels like we are "out of town" most of the time. It's been a city since 1857! And it's got great character, with a cute downtown, the mississippi runs through it, and beautiful farms. Well a town like that makes for great photo taking on a simple walk!
This is the bridge you cross to get to St.Paul. It's light blue in color, and actually being torn down. Do you remember the 35W bridge that collapsed in Minneapolis a few summers ago? Well because of that, all the bridges were checked in the twin cities area, and Hastings was one that was worse than the 35W bridge!
So up a new one will go, they've already starting working on it. It's suppose to be done by Fall of 2013.
This is an old draw bridge and railroad. You can see both bridges at the same time, that's how close they are to one another!
We also had a BBQ yesterday for the first time of the season, we had 4 at the table instead of just 3! I so enjoy when one of Madelynn's friends join us.
Strawberry Shortcake for dessert with extra whip cream please!
See you soon friends,
Peace
OH! And here is a cool cute cinemagr.am that my husband took of me and Madelynn at the picnic! Just click here.
