This Week
Hi everyone, how has your week been? I planned on doing a Vlog today answering all of your amazing questions, but I have to put it off a day or two. My husband is home sick, so we were up most of the night and I am exhausted. My precious niece had major surgery yesterday on her back. She had scoliosis so drastically that they had to put rods in her back. She's out of ICU now and doing well--she has a way to go but she is on her way!
So instead of the Vlog, I'm just going to share a few pictures of what has been happening in the last week, and the first and foremost coolest, sweetest, most precious thing----you guessed it!
Babies! All three have hatched as of today, and it couldn't be more exciting, yet scary around here. The Momma and Daddy Robin are very protective, we literally have to go around the back to get out of our house; they almost attacked my husband. So we have to be very careful! But glory glory, they are here!
I also spent time with two of my nearest and dearest friends. Above I am at the beach with Amy at Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis, what a sweet day. We went out for lunch and dessert too--what a treat.
I met Amy at the ad agency that I used to work at for 5 years. We have been friends for 13 years and have a blast together:)
The other Amy and I are 23 years and going strong! We've been best friends since High School, and I couldn't love her more. She's been very very sick for a long time now, so spending the evening with her was beyond special.
It was also this wonderful woman's birthday--my Mom!
And the hubby and I after my Mom's birthday lunch.
I've been making Popsicle recipes with my new molds--here I have greek yogurt, blackberry, vanilla and just a tad of sugar.
We had movie night, just the 3 of us, and that is to be cherished! It will be few and far between--it already is actually as Madelynn is growing up and not around as much:(
I made a fresh, delicious past dish that, again, just the 3 of us were at the table for, we inhaled it. At least I did anyway.
Some of you were asking about the banner I made myself in Michigan last month, so here it is, hung in my room!!!
And this pretty lady left for camp over the weekend. I miss her already. She will be a camp counselor to middle school-ers, and I couldn't be prouder. She was so excited to see how God was going to use her!

My new photo wall in my bedroom I created! I had to find a way to use my favorite photos and my decorative tapes--isn't it cute!? I keep adding to it.

And this little nerd got a haircut!!!
And for me? Besides hittin the beach with my girlfriend and getting good quality time in with my best friends I've been well rested, and trying to sit outside more to read. I've been taking my boy Nells for walks and doing a little organizing around the house. I can only do a little at a time, but it sure feels good when I do!
Have a super duper day you guys--a new blog design is coming soon, and I will see you Friday for a Vlog!
