What Grace Can Do

Let's grab a cup of coffee and talk about what the little word grace can do. How do you take your coffee?
I take mine with cream, no sugar, and when I feel like splurging, I take it with heavy whipping cream, ohya.

My definition of grace: Undeserved kindness; granting someone's imperfections and pardoning a wrong doing

Here's a little poem I wrote:

grace. . .
             calms hearts, mine and yours...
grace. . .
gives second, third, and fourth chances
grace. . .
accepts that I, and anyone I associate with isn't perfect
grace. . .
makes room for newness in all of us
grace. . .
helps us connect with humanity; friends and strangers
grace. . .
             can be a sweet surprise
grace. . .
             creates peace
grace. . .
             builds patience
grace. . .
             drives out fear
grace. . .
             builds trust
grace. . .
             is universal

grace can only bring beauty into our lives. it ultimately lets us live more in harmony with one another. it's something that every human being has in common because each of us need grace and each of us can extend it as a gift to another.

Whether you are extending it because someone was: wrong, rude, disrespectful, lying, unloving, yelling or cheating...you are adding to the beauty that this life can attain. Where have you wished you had been given grace  this past week or where would you have extended it  if you could go back?
What about this week?

This picture is just plain awesome.

Love it. Coffee with heavy whipping cream is the only way to go. Love the poem. I can never get enough of reading about Grace... Amazing Grace...how sweet the sound.... Unfortunately already this week I have failed to give Grace when I should have. Your piece will definitely help me be more mindful of it as I go through my week. I love, too, your definition of Grace. Thank u for this beauty!

Of all weeks, this is the week I told myself I would be disciplined and spend time in the world daily. I failed. I know Christ grants me grace minute by minute, when i soooo don't deserve it. I'm so thankful for his abundant, never ending grace.

You know what my mom told me a while ago? GRACE = God's riches at Christ's expense. Get it? That really helped me understand what it meant. Loved this post!

Beautiful as always. There are a few people tonight that I definitely need to extend grace to, and it's so hard, but I'm trying.

I drink iced coffee usually with vanilla soy-milk. If it's cold I like to add a little hot cocoa mix to my coffee.

What a beautiful poem! I've been finding more and more I am not that good at extending grace to those closest to me. Those who I should be extending grace to most often are the hardest to lay down my pride and anger for. It has been a constant prayer for me lately. Thankfully the Holy Spirit is helping me through and slowly it's getting better. Thank you for the beautiful reminder of how important grace really is.

coffee & grace are two of my favorite things. I've been learning a lot about grace lately (and how little I've been extending it). but what a gift it is! here's to trying to be more grace-filled in our lives. thanks for the encouragement. <3

I read a pretty cool verse on grace today! How fitting! - When it's sin versus grace, grace wins hands down. (Romans 5:20 MSG

This post was so perfect. I literally came here, wishing I could have a cup of coffee with you. I've been struggling with some extended family members who are routinely unwittingly hurting my feelings. I try not to take it to heart, to let it go, but it seems to be building up in me. I need your reminders about grace and beauty to help me get through it. Any other things you can throw my way to help me with this painful situation will always be appreciated.
LOVE THIS! I have often felt in situations where I haven't extended grace and opted for a more worldly approach...I am the m=only one who is left feeling bad. You can't go wrong with grace ;)

Oh how beautiful! What a wonderful, empowering, inspiring way to think about grace and living with more in our lives. I also have a cousin Grace, so it makes me think of family too. :)

Happy seeing beautiful!

Oh Gina, I needed this today. How perfect your timing is. I was struggling today with mommy-hood. I need to extend more grace to my littles....and to myself.
Hugs.

Great post :) I'm in a season of learning how to give the grace that I've been given to those around me. It makes such an impact!
gina, i thank you for your reminder of the power of grace, I have found recently the more I give grace to others...the more I can offer it to myself.

sending you love!
I'm just not very good at extending grace. I often don't know what to do with disappointment. I need to remember to extend grace, because it was extended to me....Love your poem! There are so many reasons in there to extend grace!! Thanks, as always Gina!
