These Moments

when dessert and an incredible cup of coffee are shared with a friend,
and you are able to connect about the simple things in life

when your baby girl, now 17, finally gets on the
other side of heartache,
and is finally able to break free from
the bondage of the one
who hurt her

connecting unexpectedly with a blogger friend
i've admired for over a year,
and sharing our stories
is about as sweet
as it gets

day trips with girlfriends,
where you eat, laugh, and talk
and then repeat those steps all day long

the moment when you know Fall is coming,
and you can't wait to get back to baking
pies

the moment, when after 18 years,
you start to think about
your dreams again

the moment when you know your heart
was meant to travel,
and you start thinking
about where your suitcase will
rest next

the moment when everything around you is ok,
even if brief, you just know,
whether in death or birth,
 acceptance or rejection,
or in feast or fallow,
you just know.

Beautiful and inspiring post, esp that part about how about 18 years later, you are starting to think about your own dreams again.

Gina,

Such a beatiful post. I am so behind on blogging and even sometimes IG. Obviously I am horrible with email too. I am way better with texting. You seem to have such a dreamy life. I am so sorry that M got her heart broken. Painful. I am praying for her and I know that God has huge plans for her.

I love you
