In The Woods

to evolve
life does need security
in the mother
in the father
in the home
with friends

but above all
trust in God
against all assaults of fear and anguish
against all the unknowns
against anything that might destroy
the flowering of my life...

poem from Tears of Silence,
Jean Vanier, 1970

This poem fit perfectly for my reflection in the woods this weekend. I so enjoy and thrive in finding new spots to walk. Since I am limited physically, I like to find special spots; spots that I have never explored before, taking in the new scenery and God's beauty.

Whoa, that's beautiful. What an inspiring way to start the week, stopping to acknowledge being surrounded by God's beauty. Love it! Sorry to be MIA this week. I rode my bike across the state of Georgia for seven days. I'm back and catching up!

Happy seeing beautiful!

This is beautiful. And such a lovely photo.

P.S. I just read your daughter's detention story, and it just warmed my heart. What a sweetheart, it must have just eaten her up. I wouldn't have punished her either! : )
