This And That
Random thoughts, news or happenings, that is what I consider This and That. Something new I am trying here on my blog, with no idea if I will do it again. It will have a bit of a flair of the Letters I use to participate in on Fridays. So here we go.
Show Choir! Boy am I so glad that is almost over. No offense to the season, and I did fall in love with the show, but I'm ready for it to be done. My daughter was incredible up on stage this year; it was a true joy and I was so proud to watch her! Til next year...
I am thinkin this is pretty awesome, ready for it?

That's my girl in the front there next to the boy. Making that weird movement with her arm/hand. I don't fully understand show choir as you can see.
My daughter found her Prom dress! Now she just needs a date, Awww (darn break-ups, bad timing)
Isn't this dress gorgeous!? It will be a tear jerker for sure. I think she tried on maybe 20+ dresses!
Talk about Cinderella for a day....
Now, about that bathroom. We've lived in our second house for over 5 years now, and we've painted our bathroom twice already. I'm thinkin it's ready for a third time, and I'm thinkin mint, mint green.

Ok ok, it's not a bathroom, but I'll take this room, whatever it is!
There were so many amazing things about our trip out west, and I want to do a whole post or two dedicated to that trip, but let me just say that this (below) was pretty incredible and one of the best experiences of my LIFE.
Crossing the GG was SUCH a cool, exciting, liberating experience! And exploring beyond it was even more captivating. This bridge has something so special about it that you just can't describe unless you go. I am so thankful for the opportunity and experience. What a beauty it is.
I was so happy to be reunited with Nells when we got home! THIS was the best part of coming home! Because that little dog, warms my heart and brings me immense joy. I'm so thankful for my Dad and Step-mom who took such good care of him.
And a few more things: I was given this for my birthday and I am totally addicted! Decorative tapes! I just want to use them on anything, anywhere!
And I think Nells needs this asap--that's pretty sweet.
And, I am head over heels for Alicia Bock's photography, I don't know what it is about it that I love so much.
And last but not the least at all, is I came across and met the lovely Robyn here, and she is going to make me a hat! That is so cool. Check out her info and stay tuned to see me in my hat!
I hope you all have a really great weekend! Thank you again for reading and for your continued encouragement.
Peace
I LOVED San Francisco. It is my favorite city, so far. It was easy to get around and for me, it felt like I belonged there. (Too bad it is so expensive) I'm glad you had a great time!

i respect you so, so, so much for keeping your vows to God and your husband and sticking out the hard stuff. it was incredibly brave of you to write out that hard stuff, and i am counting on God doing big things in your life because you put Him first.
keep on keepin' on, girlfriend!
xoxo
I love your daughters dress! So pretty. So sparkly and elegant! I kind of want it(;
ReplyDeleteI have to agree about the GG bridge. We crossed it the summer before last and as we approached there were clouds spilling over the tops of the surrounding mountains. It looked like some ancient Greecian God had over filled their bathtub with bubble-bath. Breath taking stuff to say the least. Can't wait to see your posts about it.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty dress! And that green room is lovely. :)
ReplyDeleteFirst, that prom dress is gorgeous!! second, don't do mint green...that was the same effect I was going for in my bathroom...I bought a martha stewart paint called "Zen" and i hate it...don't do it!

ReplyDeleteAnd the mint green walls? AMAZING. Such a relaxing yet fresh color. If I ever get around to painting my room, I may have to take this color into consideration as well. ;)

Praise to you! You must be a really proud mother Gina! Your daughter is very beautiful and talented. :) And I love her prom dress! Stunning. I imagine my gown to look like that when I walk the aisle as my cousin's maid of honor. I will outshine the bride for sure, and my dear cousin will kill me. LOL :D Anyway, glad you had an amazing time during your short vacay.
