Q and A

The wonderful, fun, lovely Erika from chambanachik, totally and completey TAGGED me in this fun Q and A, which I thought was so thoughtful of her, so I must be faithful and follow through on the TAG. So here goes:

The Rules
1. You must post the rules (and link up who tagged you).
2. Post eleven fun facts about yourself on the blog post.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and then create eleven new questions to ask the people you've tagged.
4. Tag however many people you want
5. Let them know you've tagged them!

11 Fun Facts About Me:
1.) I use an old address book, I don't keep addresses electronically, my address book is from the 60's.
2.) I got so terribly teased for shopping at thrift stores back in the day, that I stopped for a while and bought new.
3.) I don't iron. I repeat, I DO NOT IRON.
4.) I hate doing dishes.
5.) Three's Company is my favorite TV show of all time.
6.) I can not handle when things are beautiful or cute or precious. It's like I freeze in amazement. It's hard for me to comprehend such things, and express how it really makes me feel.
7.) I read the whole New Testament in about 3 months when I first became a christian.
8.) I have "pet" names for the people I love, especially Nells{my dog}. Like probably over 50 names for Nells, we have them in a Word document! And I sing to him everyday.
9.) I LOVE picnics
10.) I have never owned or worn a pair of tennis shoes
11.) I can't wait to be a grandma!

Erika's Questions For Me:
1. What is something you're known for?
Compassion, and sharing wisdom {if God provides}
2. What dessert would you make for me if I came for a visit?
Blueberry Pie and with homemade whipping cream!
3. If you could have any animal for a pet, what would you pick? (Example: I really liked the miniature giraffe in those commercials! ;)
Hands down a SLOTH!!! I want one so desperately! I watch youtube videos of them for hours {well I have before anyway}
3. Where do you see yourself in 50 years?
50? That means I'd be 87, so hopefully still around enjoying Great Grandchildren!
4. What was the best day of your life so far?
The day I had my baby girl!
5. What kind of things do you do every single day, without fail?
Pray, journal, connect with my husband and daughter, read, pick up the house, rest
6. What subject do you know more about than most people?
The Bible, or natural products
7. What would be your perfect date night?
Dinner at a new restaurant I haven't tried downtown, then a walk in the park, coffee and dessert; really simple. Or if we are dreaming, it would be like those dates you see in the movies, something really over the top like candlelight dinner on a mountain top, or a private viewing at a museum. Or having the Zoo to ourselves.
8. Where is your favorite place to be?
Besides God's presence, I'd say a Museum, or vintage shops...oops, or somewhere in nature, or anywhere in Europe!...hahaha that one's really hard!
9. What is something valuable you've learned from your mom and/or dad?
To always be myself and to not follow "trends" or try to be something I'm not. To be true to myself. And I've done that...I've never been into trends, and I've been a bit of an outcast because I've never tried to be anyone other than me.
10.  What color do you like to wear the most?
Patterns
11. What did you want to be when you grew up? (And are you there yet?)
When I was little I wanted to join the Peace Corp. and now I'd like to be a Counselor or a Teacher...so nope I'm not there yet, my life took a different turn, and Mothering has been my FT job for almost 20 years!

  22. Nice to know more about you too Gina! I'd say we have a lot of commons. :)Like hating doing the dishes and it's kind of funny that you can't handle precious things because you freeze in amazement. LOL. I love picnics too. We have the same idea of the perfect date night and favorite places to be. :)
