A Minute
. . .is all it takes. . .
to scan a restaurant, your place of employment, your neighborhood, your kids school,
your post office,
to scan a restaurant, your place of employment, your neighborhood, your kids school,
your post office,
your frequented Target,
church,
a coffee shop,
the mall,
and countless other places
to find a face you normally wouldn't
to say "hi".
or give them a smile.
you wouldn't believe what doing those two simple things can do to someones day,
and how it can move them, how it can move you.
not only will it make their day it will make your day.
it actually takes less than a minute.
who will you find today. . .
what unique face will you seek out?

i love this. (:
ReplyDeleteI la-la-love this! Random acts of kindness are always life-changing. Whether someone knows it or not :)
ReplyDeleteAh this is hard for me. It's not because there's a particular type of person I might not say "Hi" to or give a smile. It's because I'm horrifically shy in person. I can be totally open online but in person, I even go so far as to avoid eye contact if I can. I used to smile though, every time I drove past a gentleman who would stand outside with a sign asking everyone "Have you smiled today?" So you're right. It can definitely make a difference.
ReplyDeletegina you are so amazing!!!

p.s. i'm on a mission to make some days.

ReplyDeleteso true... some times people look at me funny bc whoever I pass in the streets I tend to say "good morning" or "hello" i wish more people did the same! friendliness spreads!
ReplyDeletewow. so true. especially since I am Chinese, so I get the squinty eyes and 'speaking Chinese' all the time. :P but it's always good to share the love of Christ in everywhere we go.
ReplyDeletesometimes, I like to make a game out of smiling at people and see if they smile back or look perplexed. :D it's interesting to see people's expressions at times.
Blessings,
Grace
