Journal

I've been journaling since I was in grade-school. It's the way I became a writer. I have filled journals, empty journals, and somewhat used journals. I can never have enough.

Well I joined a gift exchange in the blogging community, where two bloggers would
get paired up and then send gifts to one another. There was a $15 dollar cap.

We took the couple of weeks getting to know the other blogger by browsing their blogs.

I was paired with Emily from Yipee! It's MLE, and I'm excited to see what she thought of the gift
I sent.

Part of being involved in this party was to then blog about what you received today, January 31st!

Here is what I got!
Emily sent me this really pretty journal, that I actually had my eye on at Target, but didn't buy b/c I knew I didn't need one, but...
how sweet it is to receive it as a gift!
She also had this sweet note inside, a couple of pens, and this thoughtful bumper sticker. She said it reminded her of me, and what she's gathered from my blog. {I think she learned quickly and give her props for that}!

What a great idea! It's sort of like trading through Etsy but more personal.

Gift exchanges are so much fun! I admire people who dedicate time to writing down their thoughts. I usually can't even maintain a travel journal on trips. I consider all of the photos I take as my way of keeping track of my emotions and experiences.

What a fun idea for a blog party! I bet it was exciting to get your package in the mail, the anticipation of finding out what was inside, then finally opening it and finding something you had your eye on for a while. How awesome is that?!? And from what I've seen from your blog, that journal is so "you". I love it!
