A Guest Post on Peace

Hello! My name is Ashley Marie Wilson, I’m a wife, artist and lover of God. I blog over at La Luce, where I share my creative inspirations, daily journey and desire for the spirit of love to saturate the world.

Gina is an amazing woman, the more I’ve gotten to know her the more I appreciate her. She is one of the kindest people I know and has such a determined spirit. Since Gina is off enjoying the lovely lands of Greece, she asked me to guest post on the subject of peace. I was more than happy to!

"How do you define peace?"

Peace is having an unshakable committed heart of faith and hope no matter what is going on in your life.

"What is peace to you?"

Peace to me is knowing that no matter what, God wants to take care of me. Peace is knowing that God can take anything that He has blessed me with away and I would still love and trust Him. I would still have hope in my spirit. When you can walk through your days on top of all the distractions, all the obstacles, all the circumstance, then you are walking in peace because nothing has any power to take that peace away from you. The peace is not dependent on anything. Living in this world, but not of this world literally. Many people think peace is just a time of quiet or a time when everything is going good. Real peace is carrying that settled, calm, relaxed spirit in the midst of any situation. It’s empowering to know we have the ability to live in a constant state of peace because we have the Spirit of God inside of us.
