Fall For Fall

We finally got out- just around our neighborhood- and enjoyed some of this beautiful fall weather.

We might have waited too late into the season, but we found a couple trees with leaves still on. . .

we didn't get any pumpkins, we didn't make it to the apple orchard this year (yet), so you can guess I haven't even baked my first pie of the season yet!

but we made the effort to take a couple of hours for us as a family to enjoy the outdoors mid-week. 

we try to do this weekly (spend a couple hours together doing something), because with an older child, she is only free Tuesdays, except for the weekends of course. 

sometimes we sneak in a game or two throughout the week, or bake, go for walks, go out for pizza, or listen to music and hang out and chat.

but it's all an effort. to take the time. we all have the time, maybe not as much as we would want, but it's there. cherish it.
