A Few More Photos From MIL Visit
I learned something new last week, that using MIL is short for Mother-In-Law! How have I been married 10 years and not know this abbreviation?! So handy, thank you for sharing it with me.
So I have a few photos left over from when my MIL was here last week and the week before. I wanted to share them with you!
The main reason my MIL came to visit was to see Madeynn in something. We didn't know if it was going to be Show Choir, her play or dance. Turns out it worked out for her to see her dance at a competition. Along with three other dances she was in, she was also in a duet the weekend that Kay was here, so it worked out just right. Here Madelynn is with her dance partner Sean. His mom is a professional photographer, we were lucky enough to get these beautiful shots of Madelynn.
Here is the duet if you are interested in watching, it's really beautiful.
I had a little down time while Kay sewed for me. I am wearing one of the sweaters she worked on; it needed new buttons!
Little vintage red sweater with some fresh buttons does a girl good!
We also went and met my mom for coffee, we took her to a third wave coffee shop (anyone know what one is? Leave it in a comment and I'll send you a treat:)
And here's us having our last lunch together after church.
I am still embroidering away, here is my progress (my MIL taught me):
Looks pretty great, doesn't it?! Slowly but surely it's coming along. As you can see it took me a while to get the hang of the French Knots, but that's ok, that's how you learn...I'm proud of what I've done so far!
See you soon--oh today I drank a huge Powerade, 3 bottles of water, ate a banana, drank some OJ, and have some Potassium pills on the way, I'm trying to get rid of this quickly. It's got me a little down to be honest.
I hope to have another post up this weekend! See you soon friends.
Oh, one more thing, check me out on Robyn's blog She Makes Hats today!!!
